Something Won: We Won the "This Is Me" Pier 1 Contest

So excited to announce that we won the "This Is Me" contest hosted by Pier 1. Pier 1 has launched an incredible new campaign on their site called "This Is Me" with this mission statement: The items in our homes tell a story. A home is not made up of four walls, an address, not the brick and mortar, but rather the pieces of you that are found inside—the pieces that you choose one by one. Your home is a reflection of you, the place you’re free to break all the rules and you’re free to say, “This place right here, this is me.”

To kick off this new campaign, they developed a social media contest with the hashtag #thisismecontest, asked contestants to submit a picture and explain what makes it YOU!

Long story not so short.....we entered and WE WON! Here was my entry to the competition:

“#thisismecontest I have such an insane passion for design. My home is my safe place, where I can be comfortable as me. Don’t have to play by the rules or apologize for the things I love. I get to live loud and proud. I hope my home is a symbol of how I reflect as a person”

So now we get to go into a local store and create a display. Never in a million years did we think we would win something like this, right at the launch of Something Lane...it just feels like a great sign. We are beyond excited and honored to have been recognized this way.....now on to the next!
